If you ever were to have a problem while camping at Montauk State Park, then there are HOSTS that are camped across from the bathrooms on loop 1 and also at the far end front of loop 4. These hosts rotate once a month and camp at the park for free for their service. They are usually in an RV. These hosts can come in handy if you are trying to sleep late at night and there seems to be a unruley LOUD campsite that just won't seem to respect others by being quite (as in our case this past weekend). FYI, quite hours are between 10pm and 6am at Montauk.
