How far up can the Eleven Point River be floated?

1) January to May floats can be started up river 20 miles at Thomasville due to water level.

2) May to June floats can be started upriver seven miles at Cane Bluff.


3) From Greer Spring down river can be floated year round.

In your estimation, how difficult would it be, on average, to put in at Thomasville in June with a lightly packed, overnight canoe? I would anticipate some dragging and perhaps even some portaging, or would this just be a miserable venture? Any advice/opinions would be very welcome. Thanks.
