Best accomodation within ten miles of Montauk State Park. We are familiar with this place since it first came available for rent maybe ten years ago. Cabin is only a half mile from the bridge at the White Oak Hole. It is located in a quaint weekend village above the Old Montauk Mill. The cabin has everything you will need for your stay except food and fishing gear. You will find it clean and the owner friendly and helpful regarding fishing advice. It has two bedrooms with double beds and a couch that sleeps two also. The living and dining room is open and bright with lots of windows and a skylight. The cabin even has laundry appliances, full kitchen, dishwasher and microwave. The only downside is really not one since you don't go there to watch TV anyway. There is only one or two TV stations out of Springfield, MO available in the area. There is also no phone service in the cabin and cell phones only work intermittently. Pay phones are available in the park. The price for the cabin is not as much as comparable space in the park and much more private. Give Marlin a call, you won't regret it.
