Richards Canoe rental

Richards canoe rental is pretty much a family run business and I have been using Jerry's place for the past 15 + years. My how time flies. I have seen his grandkids grow. I have my own canoe and have them shuttle my truck down to riverton. I tell them my estimated time of arrival and they always have it there waiting for me. They have a small store where you can buy essential food and supplies in case you forgot something and are planning to camp on the river. Many of my friends don't own canoes and they rent ones from Richards. They carry Buffalo canoe's made down in jasper ARK for the Buffalo River. They are very nice canoes, hold up well in shallow gravel bottom type rivers like the 11 point. It so happens that I bought a Buffalo canoe myself. If you are planing a float trip on the 11 point I would not consider using any other outfitter than Richards. If you want they will shuttle your car to the take out so there is no waiting around for the bus to pick you up.

My brother and I just rented a canoe from Richards. Like always, we had great service. We have beeen coming down here for years and wouldn't think about renting from someone else. There have been times when we got off the river later than planned, and Jerry would be waiting there on us. Never has gotten mad or left us. Great service!!! We usually float off season, last week was no exception. (11/12/2009)
