Today my son and I floated from Akers to Pulltite Campground. We put in at 11:30am at Akers and arrived a Cave Spring at 2:30pm with only minor paddling and about 3 moderate stops along the way. We then arrived at Pulltite at 5:00pm with medium paddling and 3-4 more moderate stops. So, base a floate from Akers to Pulltite, which is 11 miles, at about 5 to 6 hours (ours 5.5 hours) which includes stops. If we would have wanted to do the Akers to Round Spring trip (19 miles) or the Cedar Grove to Pulltite float (18 miles), then we would have needed to have been taken up at 8:30am vice 10:30am to start off on the river around 9:30am vice 11:30am.
Summary:
Bank in 6 hours (stops included) for an Akers to Pulltite float. Put in the river around 11-11:30am
Bank on 9 hours (stops included) for an Akers to Round Spring or Cedar Grove to Pulltite float. Put in the river around 9-9:30am
