Today while floating the Current River from Akers to Pulltite I brought along a digital thermometer. The regular water temperature was 68 degrees. The temperature in Cave Spring was 56 degrees. This is the general rule of thumb +/- 2 degrees for the river and springs on the Current. If 68 degrees is cold for you, then you may want to try the Meramec River which is much much warmer and not spring fed.
