We go floating every year and I have to agree with most people that this is the worst campground I have ever stayed at. The bathroom were awful, I would have rather went in the woods and wiped with poison ivy then catch whatever was floating in that bathroom.
The pool felt like dirty dirty bathwater and you could not see the bottom of the pool. We were staying there with our kids and when we took them up to swim someone had a blow up doll in the pool and there were beer cans and coolers right by the edge of the pool so that they wouldnt have to get out to get another beer.
The store is nothing to write home about either. The staff was helpful but apparently none of them know how to clean a bathroom. The showers were either burning hot or freezing cold you dont get to adjust the temp. it just comes out for about a minute and a half then you have to put another quarter in.
The river was awesome and I felt cleaner swimming in a river that has been peed in then I did after taking a shower in the campground.
I have to say my kids also learned some language from our camping neighbors that I wish they wouldnt have and a 8 year old boy does not need to see the things he saw. And we stayed in the upper campground which is suppose to be the family one, cant imagine what goes on down the hill.
I have to mention that some of the staff was really great and some of them really sucked.
All in all our floating trip for 2011 will have NOTHING to do with Jasons Place Campground.
