Found this on another message forum regarding where to float on the Current River:
"You might go to Two Rivers and float from Williams Landing (or Big Creek access, it's known by both names) to Two Rivers. This float is mainly serviced by only one canoe rental (Two Rivers, they are nice folks), so it MAYBE won't see as much use as stretches farther upstream. I just floated it this past week, and I can tell you that there is zero whitewater and very easy floating...but there isn't much of anywhere on the Current that has anything resembling whitewater, and this stretch moves right along so you won't have to do a lot of serious paddling. Also, it's a little warmer than stretches farther upstream...if you're swimming, the upper Current can be pretty cold even in August. It is, in my opinion, about the most scenic stretch of the river, but doesn't have the huge springs that you'll see farther upstream. Williams Landing is not on most of the Riverways maps and is not all that well-known, but is used as a put-in by Two Rivers. It's about 10 miles from there to Two Rivers.
For tubing, the 5 miles or so from Two Rivers to Powdermill is nice.
Farther upstream...your choices for day floats are Baptist Camp to Cedar Grove--can be skinny water in August, Cedar Grove to Akers--still skinny water and lots of people, Akers to Pulltite--LOTS and LOTS of people, but a nice float, and Pulltite to Round Spring--at least as many people as above Pulltite. I don't know whether any canoe rental regularly does the Round Spring to Williams or Round Spring to Jerktail float...I tried to find a canoe rental to shuttle me for that one last week, but was unsuccessful."
