My bestfriend (along with his daughter) and I decided to make an annual tradition since last year to camp/canoe at Pulltite every summer. We drove 5 hours from Kansas City to Salem, only to have our vehicle die right on our campsite/destination. It almost sounded like the beginning of a horrible camping experience and we were in for it for 3 days. However, we decided to see if anyone can help us, but the ranger station was vacant. However, Our hosts were very helpful and very nice people. Despite their busy schedule those few days, they managed to give us a ride to town (auto parts store) and back without hesitation the following day. It really mattered to us that they were very helpful. Our car got fixed before our last camp day but we never got to say goodbye nor thank our hosts for the great help. It is very much appreciated and hope to see them again next year.
